Thirty years in ID cards

ID cards and digital ID, from one place

SecureID gives universities, polytechnics, schools and government agencies a single system for designing ID cards, managing cardholder records, collecting compliant photographs, printing and encoding cards on site, and issuing digital ID to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.

What we do

One credential, on plastic and on the phone

An ID card is not a printing job. It is a record of who somebody is, what they are entitled to, and whether that is still true today. SecureID treats it that way: the card in a pocket and the pass on a phone are the same credential, with one serial number and one verification code, issued and revoked together.

ID card design

Design card artwork in the browser, bind fields to cardholder data, and lock a version so every card in an order prints exactly as approved.

Cardholder management

Import your roll, collect and review photographs against ICAO portrait rules, and keep one record per person across their whole time with you.

Card printing

Drive a Zebra ZXP Series 7 directly, in batches or one at a time at the counter, with magnetic stripe encoding and consumables tracking.

Digital ID

Issue the same credential to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, update it over the air, and revoke it remotely when somebody leaves.

How it works

From a photograph on a phone to a registered credential

  1. Load your cardholders

Import from a spreadsheet or your student management system. One record per person, kept across every card they are ever issued.

  2. Collect photographs

Send a photo invitation by email. Cardholders upload from their own phone, and each image is screened automatically against ICAO 9303 portrait rules before it reaches your queue.

  3. Review and approve

Staff approve or reject in a purpose-built queue, with the reason sent back to the cardholder so they can try again without a phone call.

  4. Order and produce

Build an order, release a print run, and let the print agent drive the card printer. Ribbon levels, cleaning intervals and card stock are tracked as you go.

  5. Issue, verify, revoke

Every card is registered and verifiable from its QR code. Add a digital ID to the same credential, and revoke either form the moment somebody leaves.

Who we work with

Built for the way institutions actually issue cards

A university card office, a school running photo day, and a government agency issuing contractor passes have very little in common except the card itself. Each has its own page.

Universities & polytechnics

Enrolment-driven issuance at scale, replacement cards over the counter, and a digital ID students can add the day they enrol.

Secondary schools

Photo day without the paperwork, year-level rollovers, and cards that can be reprinted without starting the whole process again.

Government & enterprise

Staff, contractor and visitor credentials with audit logging, single sign-on and configurable retention.

Common questions

Frequently asked

Do we have to replace our existing card printer?

Not necessarily. The platform drives the Zebra ZXP Series 7 directly through a small print agent that runs on the PC beside the printer, on Windows or Linux. If you are running different hardware, talk to us about what you have before you budget for anything new.

Can students add their ID to their phone?

Yes. The same credential can be issued to Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, carrying the same serial number and verification code as the printed card. Passes update over the air and can be revoked remotely.

How are photographs checked?

Every uploaded photograph is screened automatically against an ICAO 9303 / ISO portrait model — head size and position, background, sharpness and exposure — before it reaches a staff member. Staff make the final call, and rejection reasons go back to the cardholder.

Where does our data live, and who can see it?

Each institution's data is isolated from every other, with access controlled by role and every change written to an audit log. Photo retention periods are configurable, and cardholder data requests are handled in the platform. We will walk through the specifics for your environment during a consultation.

Can it work alongside our student management system?

Yes. Cardholders can be imported from a spreadsheet export, and the platform provides webhooks and an API so card issuance can be driven from the systems you already run. Single sign-on is supported through SAML and OpenID Connect.
